On Tuesday 15th July, educational leaders from across the East of England gathered at Wymondham College for the Leading for Impact – Secondary Conference. Hosted by Sapientia Education Trust, the event brought together voices from the Department for Education, regional trusts, and national education organisations to explore inclusive practices, collaboration, and the future of education.
Highlights included keynote sessions from Tom Rees (Ormiston Academy Trust), Ed Vainker (Reach Foundation), and Tim Coulson (USP), as well as practical insights into SEND provision, reading interventions, and dynamic maths cultures. The day concluded with a forward-looking panel discussion on what education might look like in 2035.
With a strong focus on inclusion, well-being, and evidence-based strategies, the conference provided a valuable platform for networking, reflection, and shared learning.
